I've been going to Aikido classes at Seattle Holistic Center for over a month now, and I'm having a great time. I'd forgotten how much fun I have figuring this stuff out, and how fun it is to just get thrown really hard into the mat. Sensei Bruce is a good guy, I really prefer his vibe to my previous teacher. All a matter of taste, I guess. Anyway, nice to be using my body again. My knees are almost all healed up from my STP debacle, just in time for the rainy season.
We're at a crossroads here at Overdue Media. We're selling a lot of books and t-shirts, but it takes a lot of time and energy to send them out. And the other day we made the first mistake - sent a book to someone who ordered a t-shirt (still waiting to find out if we sent a t-shirt to a person who ordered a book). And the pile of stuff to be done just keeps growing. So we've decided to take two major steps.
Both these decisions will cost us money, and there isn't a lot of money to spend, but we're optimistic that our audience and thus business will continue to grow at its rather heady pace. As my friend Jeff once said of betting on himself, "I will always make that bet." And so we're putting all our chips on Unshelved. Gulp.
