We did our monthly Shipping Of Merchandise today. For some reason this was a month rich in Prints, which by far take the longest to pack. So it kind of dragged on. But it's done, and now I have that clean feeling. That feeling like dozens of people aren't staring over my shoulder, wondering where their stuff is. And that will last until the next order comes in.
Last year the time between holiday shopping and preorders for our second book was pretty much an ordering dead zone. But so far this year orders have continued coming at a satisfyingly rapid clip. That's good, because the book is going to happen about two months later than last year, and it's rough on cash flow when nobody buys anything. Another difference is that orders for libraries, book stores, and comic shops are all being handled by Diamond Book Distributing. So the number of orders is even higher than last year. Keep up the good work, Unshelved readers!
