This is the article I wanted to write for Slate a few months back but was not talented or knowledgeable enough to do so.
Every time I think we have the lock on comic strips about books, I see something like this, from the great Perry Bible Fellowship.
Gene and I spent the morning taking care of the reams of paperwork associated with doing business. We've got a bevy of upcoming shows and there's lots to do. It's amazing how much time gets burned on these sorts of things. I look forward to the day when we hire someone to do it for us.
Meanwhile the preorder is going well. We are nearing halfway in terms of our (arbitrary) goal of selling enough copies of Library Mascot Cage Match to pay for the printing. And we're selling lots of Book Club shirts and other merchandise as well, so I'm quite pleased. The preorder, of course, ends May 27th and we'll ship your goods out by June 3rd.
Oh, and I heard from our printer yesterday - the books will be in Seattle this Friday. I can't wait to get my greedy little hands on them!
