Gene and I did some end-of-year financial analysis and we found some room in the budget for the cost difference between a new Cintiq and what I'll likely fetch for mine on eBay. So today's strip was drawn on the bigger and more sensitive 21ux. First impressions are:

• Bigger, which is in fact better
• Much more sensitive, which is potentially great but I'll have to get used to it.
• Bigger

Because I can have more variation in the brush stroke, today's strip looks a lot more like our old hand-drawn strips, at least to my eye. I plan to do lots more experimentation. There are lots of features (e.g. pen tilt) that simply aren't available to me on Photoshop 6, but I plan to put off upgrading that until the new version comes out next spring.
