Up until today those of you who read Unshelved by Email Delivery and RSS feed have had to visit the site to read our blog. This was apparently too much work for a certain vocal minority that has been complaining about this for several years. Finally I got my act together and, if all goes well, this and successive blog entries will be visible to all our readers.

Our blog has traditionally been dominated by news about the strip, our travels, and the Unshelved store. When newsworthy (by our low standards) we throw in occasional personal bulletins, links, and pictures. As you might guess, we have an affinity for stories about books, libraries, and comics.

We know a lot of you are just here for the comic strips. That's cool. If you don't find our blog as interesting as we do, feel free to ignore it. Those of you who read by email can just not scroll down. RSS aficionados can skip past non-comic-strip posts. But I recommend a quick glance. Once in a while we announce something really cool, as we'll be doing on Monday (how's that for a teaser!).

Back in the early days of Unshelved we wrote this sequence where Merv writes his own Choose Your Own Adventure story. At the time it was one of those tributes to a long-ago pop culture icon we thought we'd never see again except on eBay. Little did we know that CYOA would rise again, like a phoenix from the ashes.

So you can imagine how thrilled we were when they asked to sponsor a week of Unshelved. We burst into fanboy action, asking for a complementary CYOA library, which we immediately devoured:
