Shiver me timbers! Many readers wrote to remind us that it's Talk Like A Pirate Day!

One of my new year's resolutions from a few years ago was to do more drawing outside of the strip. I like drawing the strip, but I think I'll grow more as an artist if I expand my horizons, and on a regular basis. So I'm carrying around a sketchbook and pulling it out when I have a few free moments. One way to keep myself honest is to share some of them with you, so here is a chair I drew yesterday while I was waiting for a friend in the lobby of the Bellevue Sheraton:
