We had an awesome time at BookExpo America 2009!

Our Unshelved Library Reading Room was a big hit among librarians and more than a few non-librarians. We gave away hundreds of ARCs from publishers, and our comfy couches were almost never empty. We signed up lots of new readers and sold lots of shirts and books. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi!

At BEA and beforehand at Library Journal's Day of Dialog we interviewed dozens of people on video - authors, attendees, vendors - and they're very entertaining. We'll be releasing said videos over the coming weeks.

And we also got to be readers, picking up free books and meeting authors. I also got an amazing little reading aid which I'll tell you about later.

We can't wait until next year!

I ask for your patience with today's partially-drawn strip. I spent all day getting our new book to the printers (more on that soon!), and forgot that we didn't have a strip up already. I'll go back and ink it tomorrow morning.
