It's hard to believe it's been eight years since Gene and I started a comic strip called Overdue, quickly renamed Unshelved. In that time we've each gained a daughter and a house, and each lost quite a bit of hair, not to mention our day jobs. Yes, in case you didn't get the memo the first time around, this little web comic strip now provides incomes for both of us, thanks in large part to the support of fans like you.
Eight years is a long time to do anything. So lately we've been mixing it up a bit. I started a second comic strip and Gene has been spending some of his time on our new book reviews and Unshelved Answers. We went to five days a week, and I'm still busily updating our website (coming soon: the return of the Store, followed by Search and Pimp My Bookcart). But Unshelved the comic strip is still the center of our universe, and lately we've been having fun plotting out the next year's worth of twists and turns. I think I can safely say we'll be bringing you the adventures of Dewey and company for a long time to come.
Thanks to all of you who have told a friend about Unshelved, bought our books for your library or yourself, or paraded around in one of our t-shirts. Thanks to all our sponsors, and to those of you who gave them your business, proving their investment was a good one. Thanks to everyone who has hired us to speak at your conference or meeting, and to everyone who showed up and laughed at our schtick. It's been a wild ride, and it's not over yet.
