This weekend Gene and I begin our Spring Tour: 8 events in 2 months! We hope to see you at one or more of them!
We start out with a fast-paced trip to the heartland:
- On Apr 13 we’ll be at the Joplin, MO Public Library. At 2pm we’re speaking to the public about Graphic Novels, and at 6:15pm we’re presenting Funny Thing to the staff.
- The next day, Apr 14, we’ll be at the annual conference of the Missouri Association of School Librarians in Osage Beach. At 1:30pm we’ll do a little retrospective on the history of Unshelved, and at 7pm we’ll present Funny Thing.
- On Apr 16 we’ll present Surviving the Public to the supervisory staff of the St. Louis County, MO Library
After a short home stay we’ll hit the road again. While Bill travels across the entire country, Gene stays close to home but then leaves the country entirely.
- On Apr 25 Gene will present Surviving the Public at the banquet dinner of the WLA/OLA Joint Conference in Vancouver, WA
- Meanwhile, from Apr 25-27, Jana and I will be in Ft. Worth TX at Texas Library Association Booth 1146
- Then I head on to Orlando, FLA, where I’ll overdose on Disney for a few days and then speak on May 3 to the Florida Library Association. At 9am I’ll do Funny Thing as a breakout session, then at the closing lunch I’ll be presenting a custom comic strip I’ll draw based on one or more library stories contributed by the conference attendees. Should be fun!
- On May 11-12 Gene will be at Toronto Comics & Arts Festival, where he’ll have a table and do some talks (details forthcoming).
Finally, Gene and I reunite for one last dose of Surviving the Public at BookExpo America (date and time forthcoming).
As always you can see our full schedule, and find out details about hiring us, at our talks & appearances page.
