Here in Seattle I’m part of a growing community of parents who have benefitted from the teachings of a Canadian developmental psychologist named Gordon Neufeld. His common-sense approach to parenting is steeped in research into traditional societies and his own years of hands-on work with at-risk youths. I’ve done many hours of training and it’s completely transformed the way I work with my children.

We now have our own local organization and, in September, they’re putting on their first conference, Helping Children Flourish. Dr. Neufeld will be there in person, along with much of the Neufeld Institute faculty. It’s an incredible (and rare) opportunity to learn in person from these talented and insightful speakers, and I hope you’ll join me there!
